  5. I followed your Material Design with sliding tabs tutorial. It worked 100% thanks as it helped me implement one of my designs.

    Problem I have now is that in Tab1 i want to insert a button to launch another activity:

    I have inserted the following method into Tab1.java

    public void signInBtn(View v){
    Intent launchProfileScreen;
    launchProfileScreen = new Intent(Tab1.this, profileClassEvent.class);
    Tab1.startActivity(launchProfileScreen);
    }

    But I get this error when I try and run the app from within android studio:

    Error:(26, 25) error: no suitable constructor found for Intent(Tab1,Class)
    constructor Intent.Intent(String,Uri,Context,Class) is not applicable
    (actual and formal argument lists differ in length)
    constructor Intent.Intent(Context,Class) is not applicable
    (actual argument Tab1 cannot be converted to Context by method invocation conversion)
    constructor Intent.Intent(String,Uri) is not applicable
    (actual argument Tab1 cannot be converted to String by method invocation conversion)
    constructor Intent.Intent(String) is not applicable
    (actual and formal argument lists differ in length)
    constructor Intent.Intent(Intent) is not applicable
    (actual and formal argument lists differ in length)
    constructor Intent.Intent() is not applicable
    (actual and formal argument lists differ in length)

    What is the correct way to launch another activity when using sliding tabs layout.

    Thanks.

    Will
